What we provide.

Conventional car rental in a third world country is a daunting prospect for most people. Not at Wild Gambia where all our rental vehicles come with a driver / guide included in the price. Thereby leaving our customers free to enjoy their holiday to the maximum without worries over maps, local police, or drink driving regulations. They don't  need a licence, or pay excess insurance charges, there aren't even any forms to fill out.

All you pay is the daily rate for the vehicle, plus the cost of any fuel used on your trips. Your guide will look after everything else, leaving you free to experience the real Gambia. Unlike organised tours, you are still in charge of the itinerary, and can stay for as long as you wish at any destination.

One of the most common complaints from visitors to The Gambia is the persistant unwanted attention from the street boys, who never take no for an answer. They can spoil any holiday, and are sometimes so intimidating many visitors never venture outside their hotel after the first encounter. In the main these boys are harmless, and are just trying to earn a few bob, by acting as a guide, however they just never know when to give up.

When you rent a vehicle from Wild Gambia, your guide will keep you free of any unwanted approaches, allowing you to enjoy the experience and culture of a fantastic country. All our driver/guides are hand picked to ensure your safety and comfort. They all speak excellent english, and their knowledge of the country, wildlife and customs are second to none. All vehicles carry first aid equipment, essential supplies, and the drivers are trained in first aid. They also have mobile telephones on a network which covers all but the extremely remote areas of Gambia.

When you rent a vehicle from us it is yours for the full day. That means after your safari, it will still be on hand for evening trips to restaurants, markets, or just soaking up more of the culture.
