All inclusive Beach / Sea / River Safari £499 per person.

This package is put together for customers to enjoy the full range of fishing availabale in the Gambia. We take you to the best beaches, up the big rivers, and out to the reefs and wrecks in the atlantic Ocean. like all our trips this is based upon two people fishing and includes B&B at a beach lodge, transport, bait, tackle, guide, rods and boats as required.

Day 1 : Boat Fishing.

A full day boat fishing the spectacular river on the Senegal border. We troll downstream to the estuary using a selection of artificial (williamson) lures, and whole Bongafish. Expect to catch Barracuda, and Captainfish. Once at anchor in the massive pool that forms the mouth of the river, we use a combination of livebait, and lures with lashings of chum dispensed by several floating feeders.

Day 2 : Beach Fishing.

A more relaxing start as we are only heading a few miles up Paradise Beach to Sanyang Creek which is a tidal inlet crammed full of small baitfish. Consequently preditors of all species frequent the basin where the fast flowing creek flows into the Atlantic Ocean. It can be a spectacular yet totally relaxing day, spinning and bait fishing the surf.

Day 3 : River Fishing:

The upper pools of the River Allahain are home to some massive specemins. The two Captainfish below were caught within half an hour at Fafa's pool. For this excursion our head guide Fafa will take you to some of the best locations known only to hiim in a local skiff.

Day 4: Wreck Fishing

It is five miles out into the Atlantic to a semi submerged wreck home to all the usual suspects. On the way we hope to troll and pick up Tuna, Barracuda , Bonito, Albacore, and if we are really lucky in the green season a giant Tarpon. Once at the wreck we would use a combination of livebait and lures, expect most of the aforementioned plus Grouper, Snapper, Jacks.

We try very hard to operate catch & release but these happy customers with 2 35lb Captain Fish got a bit carried away with the occassion. Fortunately stocks are not endangered and it supplied dinner for lots of villagers. If it were Tuna they would certainly have gone back.

Day 5: Kayak Fishing

Between the fishing village of Tange and Brufut the inshore reefs are difficult  in powered boats, so we take to the Sea Kayaks to get on top of the rocks. Here there are big butterfish ( the most delicious of them all ) , Sunpat, Ray , Ladyfish, Barracuda. In the afternoon we load up the kayaks and try some wreck fishing in mangroves on the lower stretches of the river Gambia.

Day 6: Beach Fishing.

The mouth of the river Gambia is up to 12 miles wide and the reefs on the north bank at Barra are our first stop. In season this is where most of the giant Tarpon are to be found, as well as huge Barracuda up to 80lbs. In the afternoon we move onto the reefs off Senegambia and Cape Point.

Additional Fishing opportunities :

Depending upon flight times your guide will be happy to offer a few hours extra fishing on the day of arrival and also before you depart.
