Full Day Boat Fishing Trips:
If you are planning a holiday to Gambia and want to spend a day boat fishing we have some great full day excursions to offer. If you have a non fishing partner we are pleased to welcome them on board. All our trips are based on a maximum of two anglers sharing the boat. We use 22ft VIP Sports Boats fully equipped with Baitwells, Cooler, Tackle, and powered by a 150HP mercury outboard, that gets to the fishing grounds quickly. The price includes transport from your hotel, and all refreshments on board.Border River at Casamance £60 per person ( max 2 per boat)
Our main fishing base is in Kartung South Gambia at the border with Senegal.
Depending upon tide times, we normally start the day trolling down river to the estuary hoping to encounter a big Barracuda or Captainfish. Once at anchor we can spend the rest of the morning using a combination of bait, and lures. Our preferred method ( because it is the most successful ) is livebait running free, plus a big dose of chum regularly delivered.
Our lunch normally consists of something just caught, grilled and served with crusty bread and salad, and prepared by Abraham, Alex, and Pa at their riverside cafe.
In the afternoon our destination is 10 miles upstream, and we troll all the way there. Then pool at a time we fish the river back downstream with livebait, expect lots of big snapper, grouper, barracuda, jacks.
Senegal Wrecks & Reefs £60 per person ( max 2 per boat )
This trip is weather and tide dependant, but well worth making the effort. The massive tanker is semi submerged and is a haven for the big predators feeding on the shoals of baitfish that inhabit this structure. We would use a combination of livebait, chum, and lures. The tide normally gives us around 5 hours over the wreck and surrounding reefs, and the rest of our day is normally spent trolling the estuary, or fishing the mangroves off Pelican Island.
All Gambia Bluewater £100 per person ( max 2 per boat )
This is a full day fishing the bluewater and reefs the entire length of the Gambia Coastline from Casamance to the River Gambia. It is more expensive because we use a lot of fuel travelling these big distances. Normally we will troll a six rod setup in search of Tuna, Bonito, Tarpon, Billfish, Barracuda, Bluefish and any other big game that passes our way.
