Gambia is home to over 600 species of birds, and booking one of our 4 x 4 go anywhere birding tours is perfect if you want to see as much as possible during a one week break. This package is based on two persons staying on a B&B basis at a Beach Lodge. It includes 4 x 4 transport, personal guide, park entry and airport transfers.

Bao Bolan Wetland Reserve
This protected nature reserve is the largest conservation area in the Gambia, and is located on the north bank of the river. A trip here requires an early start, and ferry trip from Banjul.
Tanbi Wetland Complex
Located at the southern entrance to the River Gambia, this reserve is within easy reach of the main hotels. Renting a local boat for a few hours is the best way to explore this area.
Abuko Nature Reserve
Although suffering from lack of investment this small reserve offers the chance to see a wide variety of birds from some very well located hides. The forest path offers a welcome shelter from the mid day sun.
Bijilo Forest Park
A small rainforest park situated close to the hotels at Kololi and Senegambia.
Bama Kuno Forest Park
A densly wooded area 25klms south of Brikama near the Senegal Border.
Tanji River Bird Reserve
Around 3 miles north of the fishing village this area is made up of lagoons, shrubland, and forest.
